Common questions
What is y2konline?
A community that brings back the web of 1997–2008: personal homepages, a wishing wall (with drawings that blink and sparkle), diaries, a forum, 3D chat rooms and a game center — in five languages and three themes (light, dark and Y2K retro).
How do I join? Does it cost anything?
It's free. Choose “Join” and sign up with email or Google. Visitors can read most of the site and play Solitaire and Mahjong Solitaire.
How do I make a drawing that blinks?
On the drawing board pick a tool (pen, line, rectangle, circle or stamp) and an effect: blink, rainbow or twinkle. It keeps moving after you draw it, like a GIF — on the wishing wall too.
How do hashtags work on the forum?
Add up to five in the Hashtags box when you post, separated by spaces. Choose any hashtag to see every post that has it, or use search.
What if I see something inappropriate?
Choose “Report” on the post, comment or member page and staff will deal with it. For problems with the site itself, use the form below.
What happens to my data?
We only collect what the service needs and never sell it. See the privacy policy for details; you can delete your account at any time in your settings.
